I love sports. I have loved sports ever since I was a little girl watching the Olympics and Football made in Germany on tv (please don’t start calculating my age). I can watch all kinds of sports the whole day. I have a soft spot for ice hockey, motorbike and car racing, adrenaline junkie of some sort. I have a great appreciation and interest in football, rugby, hockey, volleyball, all kinds of track events. Olympics and World Cup seasons are seriously great times for me.

However, I have a special love for Basketball. I have played basketball since high school when Kobe was being drafted into the NBA, and MJ was GOAT. Well he still is, at least for most of us who grew up in that era, and of course, the damn debate will never end. But I must say basketball is like a drug. You get onto the court and forget absolutely everything else that has been on your mind the whole day.

Basketball has been, and will always be my go to sport. I love playing AND watching others play. It can be both exhilarating and disappointing. A huge benefit of playing basketball is the friendships and bonds you make with fellow players and coaches for life. Plus I love the basketball crowd. I think they are the coolest and most fun people to hang out. And why in the world do they never grow old?

So…on to the main focus of this blog. After high school I went on to become a lawyer, and practiced in many areas of the law.I am also a deejay putting me right in the middle of the entertainment industry. Sports and the entertainment industry in Kenya have been rife with all kinds of happenings, shenanigans and headliners. I thought this is a good time as ever to take up the initiative to “demystify” the law governing sports and entertainment in Kenya .

In the following weeks I intend to get into this each and every Wednesday so look out for my posts on my social media pages.
